The Bentley Grand Convertible Concept

We all love Bentley Motors' concepts. From the original concept of the Bentayga to the fully electric EXP 12 Speed 6E recently announced at Geneva; Today, we're taking a look at a concept vehicle announced 3 years ago. This 2014 concept based on the Mulsanne was the idea of shortening the wheel base of the regular model, while still having enough room for four people, and making it a convertible.

Some sources speculate that the Mulsanne convertible will reach production within the year, to early 2018. One of the most notable changes to the vehicle is the giant piece of veneer with steel chrome accents that cover the rear of the vehicle. Keeping everything a traditional Mulsanne has in the interior of the car, there's a sense of familiarity to the new model. If this car is released, it will be joining the Mulliner program roster just like all other Bentley's. Not much has been said about the technical specifications of the engine or suspension system, but we assume it's going to match the Mulsanne coupe. The New Bentley Motors CEO

As of June 1st 2017, Michael Winkler, CEO of Bentley Motors will be stepping down to make way for the COO of Audi of America, Mark Del Rosso. Bentley Motors has 53 authorized dealerships in North and South America, and the new CEO will be in charge of overseeing all operations coming from each and every one of them. According to Audi, Del Rosso was responsible for a 140% growth increase in the new car business.

We can only hope that the newly appointed CEO of Bentley Motors will take the company where it needs to go and give us beautiful new vehicles along the way for owners and enthusiasts. Bentley recently collaborated with NASA technologies in order to capture a highly detailed picture of a Flying Spur W12 S in the heart of Dubai, and it looks incredible. For you tech savvy fans of ours, this image holds 57.7 billion pixels, giving this picture unparalleled detail. From the landscape view of the city, you can zoom in all the way into the Bentley logo on the Flying Spur in the center of the image. This technology is incredible!

Made up of about 1,825 individual frames, this image had to be electronically patched together to view in one piece and took 48 hours to complete. Even the curvature of the Earth is visible from the 264 meter high Cayan Tower, one of the tallest buildings in the city!
